Alexandra & District Pony Club follows the Syllabus of Instruction as supplied by PCAV from Pony Club Australia.  More information covering each certificate (D, D*, C, C*, K, B, H and A) is, can be obtained from PCAV.

Working towards these Certificates will involve theory and practice and active riding. There are workbooks available from our shop or direct from PCAV which are complete and accurate to the syllabus.  To compete at a state level event, a C Certificate is required by the time the rider is 13 years old.

Instructors at Pony Club are required to have a current Working With Children card.  It is the responsibility of the DC to ensure that all instructors comply with this for the protection of everyone.  Instructors do not have to have any qualifications, however PCAV has instituted a NCAS (National Coaching Accreditation Scheme) Level 1 training program; and is encouraging all who are involved in training or coaching our young riders to take part.  Contact your DC for more information
